Description
At the far western tip of Majuro, Laura Beach is one of those spots that rewards the effort of getting there. A curving white sand shoreline wraps around a natural point, shifting subtly over time with the tides and seasons. Snorkel beyond the point or walk the reef to find coral, surgeonfish and butterflyfish among the seagrass. The site also carries cultural significance as the legendary Bōkjānwūt location, and a weathered old domestic plane adds a photogenic, offbeat charm. Entry is just US$2 per adult, US$1 per child.
