Description
The MIMRA Outer Islands Fish Market Centre at Uliga Dock is about as far from a tourist set-up as you can get. Run by the Marshall Islands Marine Resources Authority, this is a working fish market where marlin, yellowfin, wahoo, barracuda and mahi-mahi arrive fresh from the surrounding waters. Browse bins of iced whole fish and fillets, pick up some fish jerky, or simply soak up the atmosphere. Open Monday to Saturday, 9 am to 6 pm, though mornings are best.
