For one of Majuro’s strangest roadside sights, look out for Mt Trashmore along Lagoon Road in Rairikku. The exposed landfill reveals the practical challenges of managing waste on an extremely narrow atoll, while locals jokingly describe it as Majuro’s highest point. Morbidly fascinating and certainly memorable, it is best viewed briefly from a vehicle, with the windows firmly closed.
